I have never been someone who was able to cope with my anxiety as well as I should have been able to. I am getting better at managing and coping with my anxiety now though.
I find things such as shutting off playing a game I enjoy or shutting off and listening to music helps with my anxiety, I also avoid going out at really busy times to avoid anxiety overload.
I like listening to music to help calm me down. Also since I have social anxiety, I feel that if I practice what I'm going to say on the phone prior to making a phone call makes it much easier to do. I often will write down what I'm going to say.
