Try Rebus....it's on BBC and BBC iplayer. It's based on Ian Rankins Rebus books about a fictional rough and ready Edinburgh detective John Rebus. I've read a lot of the books and this is, imo, the most realistic portrayal of Rebus albeit it is based in the present day and the books were from the 80s/90s until the now where Rebus is actually retired from the Police Force. A very decent watch.

Sure I read that there wouldn't be. Personally I can't see it as Catherine was leaving in her Land Rover to go and 'tour' around the Himalayas.

The Responder with Martin Freeman....he plays a Liverpool cop in this gritty drama. This is the 2nd series. I enjoyed both of them.
