What’s your earliest internet memory?

I can't be sure what it was. I know I liked to look at guitar tabs (a type of notation) in the late 90s, the early days of the popular internet.

My earliest memory of the internet was using a very old version of internet explorer of the 2000s to access webpages through a telephone dialup connection. It usually took five minutes minimum to open a webpage.

First time online was in school.

JR High School. The class was called "Technology," and the Internet was being introduced.

It was awesome. I knew I would love it from day 1!

For me, my earliest memories should be me downloading java games with just 10MB, i could download tons of games.

In my 6th grade, it was 1989 and there was no internet, just computer class teaching probably Visual Basic.

And computers were NOT cool then to most people.

These threads made me recall when we used to visit the cafés to browse back in the day. Then it was quite an experience and I don't think I would ever forget such moment. It was pure gold. You’d head to the café with a small amount of money to browse for half an hour or more depending on your pocket. You would be given a small ticked with a serial number to login and if the connection lagged and you didn't log out, you are likely to waste your ticket. I still recall using Yahoo Messenger to chat. It was the best messaging tool back in the day. Now, it's quite obsolete.

Internet became available in my home country in the early 2000s. I remember going to internet cafe where I spent $1 per hour to access the internet.
