The Wired HubPhone’s built‑in camera Vs Dedicated camera
I think we are in the era where we do virtually everything on our smartphones. Before, we used to carry cameras everywhere just to snap pictures, but today with our smartphones we can take quality pictures and it will come out good. The only people I've seen with cameras nowadays are professional photographers.
I am not a picture person and for my very basic use of phone cameras, I use the camera that came with the phone. I don't know of any dedicated camera app, and I don't even think I would use one in the near future.
Yes with our smartphones we can also take quality photos, these days you do not need to be a professional photographer before you can take some nice shots. But then again it can't be compared to an actual camera.
I think only iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 camera match a good professional camera. If you want that distinction in photos, use a professional camera. Many people can't afford iPhone 16 and iPhone 17. They have to patronize photo studios for professional photography.
