Planet Discussions Vault Is Rick and Morty worth watching?

I only know this animated series by name and from seeing images of it in various places, both in social media posts and even on t-shirts people wear when I'm walking down the street. But is it worth watching? Is it actually a good series? What's it about? All I know is that there's a scientist who looks like Einstein and a boy, that's it.
