I used to be in the camp where I was reluctant to re-read books because I felt that once I had finished a book, I should move on to something else. I felt that after reading a book once, I had absorbed the knowledge and entertainment from the book. I wanted to move onto something new so that I could learn something different. There are so many books that I would never be able to read if I kept re-reading books
