The Admin Hub How often do you get spam bots?

Do you get spam bots often? We haven't had a single one even though I've relaxed a lot of the registration process.

I get them every so often. Not too often though.

Very rarely do they come to my phpBB forums. I suppose it's because of my user registration thing where I ask people to spell words backward.

So far, I have not had any issues on my forum since opening, and we are quite lenient with how we have registration at the moment. I know that will not last, though and the longer we are around, the more chances there will be for spam bots to attack.

When we do start to get them, we will put things in place to prevent them if needed.

I was getting them almost daily until I installed a plugin. Now they only tend to pop up here and there, just the ones that aren't part of the stop forum spam database. I have admin approval on my phpBB board. I didn't want a few spam bots to get through the cracks, I turned this off after installing the plugin and one managed to get in.
