Though not all celebrate Christmas and New Year, for Christians, these two events in the year are very important and overwhelming. As we navigate the whole year, expectations for the end of the year are to be filled with various expectations. That's because of Christmas and New Year celebrations. Being a Catholic faith defender, of course, my family and I celebrate New Year's by having a short party, good for 2 hours, to welcome the new year and the new challenges that may come our way. I also declare my New Year's resolutions.
Honestly I just chill at home, eat some appetizers and turn on the tv to watch the ball drop. I couldn't celebrate last year since I had to work on New Years day, but this year I get the day off so I will be celebrating. The year before that the tv was off so we missed out on bringing in the new year at the right time .
We do the same thing every year...get a pizza and watch movies. My husband goes to bed early and then at midnight I try to wake him up so he can look outside our bedroom window to watch the neighbors shoot off fireworks.
