What's your favorite forum software?

Smf. I like it because it's easy to understand and work

I like Xenforo and phpBB.

This forum uses phpBB but this forum uses a paid theme.

XenForo. For it's flaws it remains the best available option on the market right now.

I like all the popular free and paid stuff I've used as an admin or user. However, though, I see major problems with some, despite my love for them. For instance, MyBB has big problems with MyAlerts and that extention is very vital to a forum.

PhpBB for me. Used it for years and years.

These days, it's XenForo

vBulletin 6+ would be a second. They're actually doing fairly well with vB6

I'm into phpBB at the moment and use it for my two forums. Before I was mostly into XenForo. Anyway, though, I've used all the popular free forum software minus WordForo and bbPress. I've only used XenForo for premium software.

I had one forum before my current for a brief time. It was for a story of mine at the time. Can’t even remember what software it even was.

I once considered switching to MyBB but stuck with phpBB in the end.

For free software SMF is my favorite, for paid I like Woltlab Suite. I also like Invision but it's so expensive .

As an admin, I've actually only used XenForo as an admin.

And as for free software, I've used the major brands as an admin, but not WordPress forums. The forums would be SMF, MyBB, and phpBB.

And, a free forum software that looks interesting for an admin is NodeBB and WordForo (WP plugin), but I haven't tried them.

Note: Regarding paid software, I would like to get into the new Vbulletin at some point and Wolt Lab.
