Do you think mental health is just as important as physical health or does one matter more than the other?

This debate comes up a lot and I'm curious where you stand. Some people say you can't be truly healthy if your mental state is a mess no matter how fit you are physically. Others argue that physical health should come first because it directly impacts your survival. But aren't they really connected anyway like depression can make you stop taking care of your body and chronic pain can mess with your mental state? Do you prioritize one over the other in your own life or do you try to balance both equally?

I must say that doing what makes you very happy is one of the ways that you can overcome depression. I have said that mental health should be prioritised the way we talk about physical health as it is very important.

A healthy mind affects how you think, feel, and act, and it directly influences overall well-being, productivity, and relationships. Neglecting it can have serious long-term consequences. I try to stay mentally healthy by managing my stress.

Yes, definitely! If you don't have good mental health, nothing makes sense. For example, if you don't have peace of mind, you'll never be able to enjoy life because you'll always be angry, upset, or hurt. So it's very important to take care of your mental health in all cases.
 
Of course, it is very important. Our mental health is the carrier of our body's entire system. If there is a mental issue, the entire body will be affected, so everyone must protect the health of the nervous system, the mind.
 
I even tend to believe that mental health is even more important than physical health. When a person is down mentally, they almost can't gather themselves to do anything physically. People downplay the importance of mental health. But it shouldn't be so.
 
Physical health is somehow interwoven with mental health in a way that they work together to balance the overall well-being of the body. Your mental health if affected could affect your physical appearance, your physical health if affected could have a ton on your mental well being. The two are connected and should be taken care of.
