I don't have a car at this point in my life. And I have no other option than to use public transportation everyday to get to work and church. My parents own cars and I drive them when I am at the family house. But since I am not staying with them as my base, I don't get to drive every time.
If you go alone for example to a place then use of public transport is cheaper than driving using your car especially for far places. If you go with family then for sure public transport will be more expensive than public transport. You need to calculate this.
I use public transport everyday to move around my city. I also use public transportation when I want to travel to another city. I don't have a car yet. So the only option for me to move around is public transportation.
I seldom ride public transportation. I have a car, which is very important for my work, as it is a little far from home. I started driving at age 17 during my college days.
I frequently use a public transport, whether it is a long journey to another state or short intercity travel. I find public transport more safe compared to driving by myself. Our roads are not very safe because the country is basically a mountainous country.
