I was bit by a non-poisonous one as a child, . I didn't even see it coming and didn't know it was a snake. It seemed like someone threw a rock at my arm.
I love snakes as well and I think they're misunderstood. Some snakes are poisonous, and I think that's why people are afraid of them. I remember I got to hold a giant ball python as a child at Grants Farm when I was in Kindergarten. I think that helped me to not be afraid of them. I think they're cute actually! Their little eyes, their tongues and the way they slither is cool. I wouldn't want one as a pet though, simply because I have a cat and I also don't want to feed it live mice/rats.
