There are lots of forums where the forum owners have a welcome message sent to the PM of new members joining the forum. Do you have such on your forum? Do these new members always respond to such messages when they join or do they ignore?

Yes, I always post a welcome message for new members if they haven't posted an introduction. I like making sure to make them feel welcome. Most of them do acknowledge it .

No, I don’t have welcome messages yet, but I plan to consider them in the future, especially if I migrate to paid forum software that makes automation easier and more customizable. I think welcome messages can guide users where to start.
