I used to have an awful fear of going the dentist but not so bad now.

Phobic actually, but after 20 years of avoidance, I found a terrific dentist who goes out of her way to be gentle and understanding.

Yeah same here, but now my dentist has retired and my new one is rough  :classic_sad:

Not at all. My previous dentists was a lady and she was fantastic. Unfortunately she has sold the practice for personal/family reasons and it was bought by a COMPANY and the personal touch has now gone. Tried to get an appointment last October for a check up and told the first one was April this year so I left and have joined one just down the road from me but I've had to go private with them. £15 a month and I get two check ups and scalings per year for that. Any other treatment I have to pay for (and the prices aren't that steep) but at least I don't have to wait for ages.......bonus is the dentist is a Rangers supporter....
