If I'm honest, I'll admit that I find ads to be very annoying. This is why my ad blockers are enabled and active at all times. I'll only turn off ad blockers if the website makes it mandatory they are off before getting access to the website's contents.
Yes. Ads are annoying, intrusive and irrelevant. They peddle goods I neither want nor need and couldn't afford if I did. If a website makes it mandatory to disable, I will no longer engage with that website.
I don't enable ad blockers. The sites have to earn some money from those ads. It is only when ads don't allow me to use a site that I would enable ad blockers.
Yes I use ad blockers because Ads are incredibly annoying especially the ones that pop up everywhere and slow down websites. I only disable them when a site absolutely won't let me access content otherwise.
If the forum has a paid subscription which has ad removal I'll rather do that then use ad blocker as it supports the admin to continue to do their work on the forum.
