There are some people who left home early and become independent. They started fending for themselves in everything they need to survive. While there are some people who find it very difficult to leave their comfort zone which is why they are still living with their parents. Everything they need are provided for by their parents or older siblings.
I became independent fairly early. I started working as a home tutor at 19, and by 20 I was earning enough to move out and manage my own expenses. It was challenging at times, but it taught me responsibility and gave me confidence in handling life on my own.
I became independent at a young age. I was 16 years old when I left home and became independent, and even though I had a tough time and did end up in a mentally abusive relationship for 11 years, I feel it helped me be the woman I am today, who is independent and can handle things myself without much intervention.
