VAR was introduced to football in order to help referee and officials get things right when officiating a football match. It can't be disputed that VAR haven't helped in doing that but it have also added so many controversies that have now questioned if it was a smart decision to introduce the technology to football.

What do you think about VAR being used in football?

VAR is good but the truth be told, it spoils the flow of the game sometimes. You’ll be celebrating a goal like, next thing the referee is doing a check. In all honesty, it stops nonsense decisions which are good for the game . I’m not fully for or against it, they just need to make it faster..

I am in favour of VAR in football. It has made officiating in football fair to a large extent. Gone are the days of marginal offside calls that changed the results of a game. VAR gives the confirmation to everything nowadays.

I'm totally in favor. If there weren't a way to review the moments when the referee couldn't see what happened, there would be a lot of cheating in football, so I completely agree.

I remember how fans used to complain about unfavorable refereeing decisions All that is in the past now with the introduction of VAR. The mistakes that referees make has drastically reduced. And that has made the game to feel more fair. I am really in support of VAR.

Do you think that if they make it faster, they wouldn't get all the information right and which is still going to have them make a wrong call? Isn't it what VAR being inconsistent we are talking about?

I remember that Lampard's goal against Argentina that was not given because the referee adjudged it not to pass the line. Because there was no VAR, there was no advantage of watching replays to confirm. That case alone was enough reason for VAR to be introduced. And it has really saved the game from all those human mistakes greatly.

I think VAR has introduced fair play. Now, a referee cannot give decision based on favoritism. It certainly interrupts the flow of the game because they goal you celebrated could be canceled, but at least there will be no one to complain.

VAR can never be scrapped in football again no matter the circumstances or complains a lot of people, teams and managers have about it. All we can hope is for them to be more consistent.

Yes, you are right. The introduction of VAR has made most players be careful how they behave during matches unlike what used to happen in the past. Now, each player knows that every action they take might be checked by the referee on the screen.
