I have purchased various food and snacks fom various street vendors, while some are tasty,i have noticed one thing in common with most of them. The state of the environment which they prepare these snacks are usually unhealthy. Do you think street food are safe or risky?

For the food lovers, what's the worse food you have ever tired? I remember some years back while i was in school on another country, i decided to buy something from a street vendor at night. Till date i don't know what i bought, i thought it was fried yam but i was wrong, the taste was so foul i vomited after tasting it.

It is unsafe because the equipment used in outdoor food preparation can pose serious health risks if not properly maintained. Some surfaces that are not adequately cleaned may carry bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, which can easily transfer to food items and cause foodborne illnesses.

Street foods are more risky due to the fact that you can easily get poisoned in the process of eating food by the street. Also the method of cooking there might not be healthy as the one you would have cooked by yourself. street food is really risky and should be minimized.

Eating street food is risky. The preparation can be unhygienic. They prepare them on the roadside, which means they are exposed to dirt, pollution, bacteria, and other contaminants. My cousin loves to eat street food, and she got Hepatitis.

Street foods are exposed to dust. It's crucial if there's a deadly bacteria that contaminates with the street food and buyers may get a serious sickness. Many landed in the hospital after eating street foods. It's better be safe than sorry.

Street foods could be very harmful to healthy living in the sense that most of these roadside food are exposed to environmental hazards. Poor hygynic factor is also one of the reason why I don't consider street food as hygienic. The food we see everyday on the streets passes through a whole lot of people hands and could easily be diagnosed as food poisoning if not handled with care. In the general sense, street foods are harmful and risky for consumption.
