GamingAre Game Remakes Strengthening or Weakening the Industry?
Game remakes are very common these days, studios and developers keep remaking classics with upgraded visuals and controls. Does this preserve gaming history by making old games available for young gamers or slow down innovation? Which recent remake impressed you? Are there older titles you feel should never be touched? How do you balance nostalgia with wanting fresh gameplay ideas?
Some of the remakes are worth it while some publishers are just remaking some games because of the money involved. I don't like remakes that are just focused on the gains that come from without making a game that is worth playing.
It is not easy to give definative answer. That's because some remakes are good and it attracts new players and also encourages old players to go back to the gamer. However, some remakes are nothing but a way to get money from people.
