  1. The Wired Hub What is the best deal for premium forum software?

I suppose it would be WoltLab because it's only 129 Euros, but then again, with the exchange rate now, that would be around 150 USD. That's not much lower than $195 for XenForo, in my opinion.
  2. The Admin Hub How often do you get spam bots?

Very rarely do they come to my phpBB forums. I suppose it's because of my user registration thing where I ask people to spell words backward.
  3. The Admin Hub Do you own any websites other than forums?

I have blogs on my sites, in addition to forums. However, I haven't done much on them except for what was on the religious site (now off the air scheduled to be remade soon). I did a lot of work on the religious blog, just as I had on the forum, and I did as much work or more on the blog.
  4. The Admin Hub Do You Pay Your Staff

My projects are too small for staff, but if I ever had staff, no matter the forum size, I feel like I would need to pay them in money or something they might find valuable like forum posting, for instance.
  5. The Admin Hub How Do You Pay For Your Forum Expenses

I pay for it from my own money. Only with way more traffic could I consider a self-running operation.
  6. The Admin Hub Have You Ever Bought a Forum?

I bought a cute phpBB forum named LazyForums.xyz. Anyone remember that one? It was seen around on Forum Promotion way back. Note: I had to give it up later, but I forgot why. This whole situation was in the 2010s and I'm so much into forums that I have trouble keeping track of things.
  7. The Wired Hub Do You Pay For Posting

I've hired people to post, but my ideal situation, one I haven't tried, would involve hiring for the long-term, like two or three years. I think that's the best deal.
  8. The Wired Hub Favorite Forum Software

As an admin, I've actually only used XenForo as an admin. And as for free software, I've used the major brands as an admin, but not WordPress forums. The forums would be SMF, MyBB, and phpBB. And, a free forum software that looks interesting for an admin is NodeBB and WordForo (WP plugin)...
  9. The Admin Hub Forum Monetization

My hosting forum is a hobby project at the moment. Only when traffic increases substantially would it be a paid thing. And as for the music performance one, it might always be a hobby, but with increased traffic it could be monetized, but I wouldn't want to, too much. Well, I have pondered a...
  10. The Wired Hub Premium Software Vs. Free Software

Some like the DIY nature of free software. I mean, not everybody needs and/or wants things out of the box.
  11. The Wired Hub Favorite Forum Software

I'm into phpBB at the moment and use it for my two forums. Before I was mostly into XenForo. Anyway, though, I've used all the popular free forum software minus WordForo and bbPress. I've only used XenForo for premium software.
  12. The Wired Hub Who likes computer programming?

It takes a while to "get it", but some don't want to wait and I understand.
  13. The Admin Hub What's the Best Way to Handle Online Trolls?

If I'm the admin, I have to ban. I might give a warning first to sound merciful, lol.
  14. The Wired Hub What is the best free forum software?

TapaTalk might have a good paid version, but the free version is cluttered with ads and MyBB has become difficult to work with, so that's why I have avoided these two choices especially.
  15. The Wired Hub Who likes computer programming?

I studied C ++, VB.net, C # .net and Java at a community college. I got good grades in all of them except for C ++ which was only a C. It was in the 2000s. In fact, I think VB.net isn't even used anymore. That sounds awesome.
  16. Planet Discussions Vault What are your favorite TV shows?

Spartacus is one of my favorite ones and I'm sure those other ones are good also. And I also enjoy TV sitcoms, but just the ones like Fresh Prince, ALF, Sanford and Son, stuff like that.
  17. Planet Discussions Vault Vintage Gaming

In the 80s I was a child and had an Atari. I liked Pitfall Harry (a game like Mario etc.) and Pole Position (a racing game). They were loads of fun and proof an advanced game isn't necessary to be fun.
  18. General How much can make you retire for life?

If I made 5K or more a month that would be enough.
  19. Life & Health Do you drink enough water?

I'm not a great fan of water. But I need to get in the habit of drinking water. I do notice that with spicy food I'm more likely to drink it.
  20. The Wired Hub How Can We Improve Community Engagement?

Sounds like an awesome idea and I do what I can to make people feel welcome, though not what you mentioned. Well, I always respond to introductions with a positive reaction (a waving hello reaction) and then a reply asking about the person's hobbies or whatever else that is friendly, aside from...
