Which social media platform is dying next?

I believe Twitter (X) is going in that direction. Correct me if I'm wrong. At least, among my friends, I have witnessed a chunk of them ghost X. I’m also ghosting soon as I don't find the platform appealing anymore. The atmosphere has really shifted and people are heading elsewhere.

Facebook , it'll clearly be Facebook, the only thing that saves Facebook is its marketplace, but Tumblr will die first, it's incredible that it's still alive today, it should have died a long time ago, I mean, who uses Tumblr these days?

There is no way that Z would die. When it comes to micro blogging, no other platform does it quite as good as X. The time that X would have died should have been when Threads launched and there was so much noise. As X overcame that scare, they won't die in the next ten years as far as micro blogging is still a thing.

I will have to agree with you on this. Since Musk took control, X is losing its legitimacy. Recently, it has been fined by EU for some violations. Musk has a lot of money, so even when X is making losses, he might continue to run it but it is certainly dying slow death.

It feels like X is the one losing momentum at the moment. The trust issues, constant changes, and declining user experience are pushing people toward alternatives. Other platforms have their ups and downs, but X shows the most signs of long-term decline right now.

I'd say Twitter/X is struggling the most right now with all the changes and people leaving for alternatives like Bluesky and Threads etc.

I'd honestly say Twitter, as its numbers have been on a rapid decline over the years.
