I've witnessed some horrible officiating in football over the years. One of the worst I've seen was the 2009 UCL semi-final second leg between Chelsea and FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge. The ref admitted some years later being horrible in the game.

I still can't understand what happened on that UCL night. The referee was so bad that at one point, I began wondering whether the dude had ever officiated a match before that match between Chelsea and Barcelona.
