Regarding culture, I can confidently say my country is ahead. We may face some issues internally, but our culture is amazing. The cuisine, the respectfulness, the family spirit, the music, everything just feels very abundant. I appreciate how each tribe has its character and customs.

What’s that one thing about your culture that always makes you smile or feel proud?

Nigeria my country has a rich artistic heritage, including both traditional and contemporary art forms. From the naturalistic statues produced at Ife to the bronzes made for the king of Benin. Nigerian artists have crafted art that is world famous. We are a blessed nation and we are the giant of Africa.

The most impressive thing about my culture is how marriage is done. It is a series of ceremonies that bond the two families of the bride and groom together. And the grand finale is always a rich ceremony that showcases all the cultural aspects of my heritage from dressing, to music, to cuisine. I love my culture for that.

We have a tradition of worshipping girl child as a form of Goddess. This culture, often called Living Goddess, is the unique aspect of out country, there is no other culture that does this. The tradition of worshipping a girl as Living Goddess goes back to Indus valley civilization.

It’s the sense of community and respect for family. I remember the gatherings we used to have. It could be during weddings or naming ceremonies, everybody would be involved because we all love to celebrate together.

You have raised a very important point. New generations think that they should as having more than 18 years old only do what they want without respect family choices or similar staff. This is dangerous decision and could lead to bad subsequences.
