What's the best streaming platform for TV shows?

I was switching between apps yesterday night looking for something to watch and got irritated. One platform kept recommending rubbish. Another one actually had solid series back to back. For TV shows, consistency matters, not just one hit and plenty of fillers. Price also matters, because the money for subscription is not easy.
