One Hundred Years of Solitude is a Netflix series based on the novel of the same name by Columbian writer and Nobel Laurette Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The show is originally made in Spanish language and tells a story of 7 generations. This is one of the best shows that I have watched in the recent times. They are adapting the book into TV series in two parts, the second part is on the floor and will be released somewhere in 2026.

I’ve read One Hundred Years of Solitude and really enjoyed it. I’ve heard about the Netflix adaptation but haven’t watched it yet. How closely does the series follow the book? Does it capture the magical realism exactly like in the book?
