If someone you care about is diagnosed with BPD you might sometimes find it hard to understand their feelings or behaviour, or to know how to help. But there are lots of positive things you can do to support them:

Be patient

Don't judge

Be calm and consistent

Remind them of their positive traits

Set clear boundaries

Plan ahead

Learn their triggers

Provide distractions

Learn more about BPD

Help them seek treatment and support

Take care of yourself

Not sure if a friend of mine has this (online friend), its the same thing I have, she gets very clingy and wants a lot of reassurance, she knows Tigger's needing my attention, the more reassurance I give her, the more she decides she needs, idk how to handle it any more cause when I stop answering her she starts to flood me ......
