GeneralHow do I get enough sleep and improve my sleep quality??
Sleep is becoming a luxury these days. These days adulthood has turned to “sleep is for the weak.” I’ve been trying to sleep earlier but responsibilities keep me awake. The thing that’s helped me is reducing the brightness of my phone screens before bed. Also, I stopped drinking anything sugary late at night. It has helped more than I expected.
Honestly this is something I also find challenging. What’s worked for me is maintaining a consistent sleep routine during weekends and setting my phone aside, at least half an hour before going to bed, that screen exposure really disrupts your rest.
You need something to help you sleep. If you exercise a lot, your body will get tired and logically you'll feel sleepy, but if you still can't sleep it's because your brain needs to stop overthinking. You should do something to stop overthinking in a case like that.
When you get to prioritize your health over any other thing, you would be able to structure yourself and get to bed as early as possible. Some people sleep late because they stay up chatting or playing video games deep into the night. Anyone that is disciplined and health conscious should shelve those things and get to bed at the time that would afford them seven hours of sleep before daybreak.
