Sports Does Carrick deserve the job permanently?

Michael Carrick took over as Manchester United coach a few days before they got to play Manchester City and while many didn't give him a chance, he went on to win the match and has even won against Arsenal. There are positives around the team and that makes me wonder if he should be allowed to manage the team on a long-term basis.
