General Do you support banning smartphones in schools?

I don't like the idea of allowing kids use smartphone in school. It's more of a distraction than it's going to help them study. They can use laptop for their educational purposes and not smartphone.

I think for the most part yes.

I did have a cell phone when I was in school but that was when they first started coming out and were literally just a phone. And that I just used to call for rides since I often would stay after school with friends and stuff.

I completely agree with the idea of banning smartphones in highschool. These phones serves as a from of distraction to the kids. When they get home, they can be with their smartphones, and even at that there still meeds to be a limit.

Yes, but not fully. I understand that phones can distract students, especially TikTok. But at the same time, phones can help for assignments and for emergencies. I feel they should allow it but with strict rules. I don't think they need to ban it completely.

I’m not suggesting a prohibition but I believe they ought to be limited during school lectures. Students must learn to concentrate without any interruptions. Perhaps it would be nice to only allow phone usage at lunch and breaks.

I don't support banning it completely. Smartphones can be very helpful if people are using them well. I think discipline and guidance matter more than banning. Teaching them better ways to use it will help them to learn new things and still be focused.

It is true that the world has evolved, the earlier you introduce technology to the future generation, the better for them. I believe that the students in a school that allows smartphone will always have a greater advantage over other schools. The way that the young people are using smartphones, it is certain that they would use smartphones to distract themselves. In the school I taught, smartphones were not allowed to be brought by students. But some that sneaked and brought smartphones were chatting or watching videos while I was teaching in class. That's the reason smartphones should be banned in high schools.

Why do kids need phone at school? I support banning phone at school. Some might argue it is for safety, however, this is not a valid reason, kids will end up using phone to watch social media instead of using is for their safety.
