Digimon or Pokémon?

They are both direct competitors, both have strengths and weaknesses, but the question is, which do you prefer? Do you prefer Digimon or Pokémon? And why?

Digimon has the better anime, there's just no denying it. The series actually progressed and had different characters long before Pokemon decided to ditch Ash and have a new set of characters. As for the games, I love the Digimon games but the Pokemon games were better. To be fair Pokemon started as a video game before the anime, unlike Digimon where the games came after the anime and the series is actually based on Tamagotchi.
