I cannot forget our black and white TV. I was a child at that time, and we were the first in our neighborhood to have a TV set. Our neighbors came to our house to watch a TV show every evening. They squatted on our floor. That was such a funny experience. My parents just ignored their annoyance. But when the colored TV emerged, we junked the black and white TV and replaced it woth colored. However, my father was a military official, and when he was at home, he never allowed neighbors to get inside our home to watch with us. We needed privacy. After some months, many bought a colored TV and the problem of our neighborhood was solved.

No, my family never had a black and white T.V. We had a coloured display television. I can't believe that coloured television were actually available during the 1950s. Having said that, as of now, I do not have a television in my room. I mostly rely on my smartphone to watch live channels.

Nope I never had a black and white tv myself, my grandmother did though. She had a small black and white tv in her kitchen, there was a time in the 80's/90's where people had small tvs in their kitchen. I suppose it was to be able to have breakfast and watch the news in the morning lol. The tv she had that was in black and white was also a radio too which I thought was cool.

Black and white T.V have become a thing of the past. However, I have noticed that many old shows are still watched by so many people. Those shows were black and white. In my country, many people used to have such kind of T.Vs during the 80s era. I remember many footages of that era that are in black and white. Do you think that people still use such T.Vs today?

I did have a black and white TV :) I always remember as a kid, my parents, as much as my dad worked, they never had the money to always buy the latest technology, and if they did, it was always something they bought for the best room in the house.

When my brother and I were allowed a TV in our bedroom, we started with a black-and-white TV. It wasn't such a big problem, but watching snooker on it was a pain LOL

The first TV my father bought was a black and white 14 inch set. Even though color sets were popular, my father, an old school guy, though the color screen would damage his kids' eyes, so he bought a black and white. We used it for more than 5 years and then got a color set

That was such a sweet story. I think that black and white TVs have become a thing of the past. Since technology is evolving, I believe that many such kind of electronic gadgets would become relics. I must also add here that LCDs and LEDs have also replaced coloured television as well. Many people keep old stuff such as black and white TV in their possession to keep the memories alive.
