I am convinced, based on my experience and observation, that December is extravagant. People celebrate Christmas lavishly, as if there is no tomorrow. And people never care how much they spend. There is joy in their hearts in spending on gifts for the family members, some close relatives, and besties. I see people here coming and going to malls, buying things for Christmas and New Year's celebrations. I am also doing it, spending lavishly, it is because it is done once a year. We have to spoil ourselves and our loved ones. I know, we have different cultures, customs, and traditions. I am only citing about the experiences we are having in the Philippines every Christmas days.
