DaVinci resolve is definitely the best free video editing software in my opinion. I use it whenever I need to edit videos for my Youtube channel, well at least on Windows. I think KdenLive is better on Linux. Anyways there is a limit to how many effects you can add to a video, but you can get around that pretty easily. Plus I never been over the limit before. You can pay for it if you want, but it does so much for free it's ridiculous! I highly recommend trying it out if you're looking for a good, free alternative to Adobe Premiere.
