Christmas 2025 Christmas and Church

Do you tend to go back to church more often around Christmastime?

Advent starts Nov 30 and I like attending services then, but as soon as Christmas comes, I find that it's so cold outside and weather gets bad that I'm not there as often.

Honestly I haven't gone to church in years. Sometimes I do consider maybe going again, but not really sure.

I left the church I was going to so haven't been to one for over a year. I did go to an Anglican Christmas service once and I enjoyed that.

As much as I have gone to church for some things in the past, I am not overly religious and going to church around Christmas is not something I tend to do.

I do like listening to the church bells though on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

I think I only remember us going to church on Christmas Eve a few years when I was younger.

For me, Christmas is very special in the church. The early morning mass or service, the music, choir, singing carols always lift my spirit. Last year, I love how the whole congregation sang. It tells me that Christmas is not just fun and giving gifts, but a moment of gratitude, reflection, and connecting with God.

I grew up in a Christian home, so going to church is pretty normal for me even on Christmas days as well.

Always wanted to go to midnight mass.. never managed it yet…
