🍪 Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies​

White sugar½ cup (100 g)½ cup
Brown sugar¾ cup (165 g)¾ cup
Eggs1 large1 large

Baking soda1 tsp1 tsp
Salt½ tsp½ tsp
Chocolate chips1½ cups (255 g)1½ cups

🥄 Instructions​


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Roll tablespoons of dough into balls and place on a lined baking tray.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  8. Cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.

✨ Tips​

  • For chewy cookies, slightly underbake.
  • For crisp cookies, bake an extra 2 minutes.
  • Chill dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
