Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Roll tablespoons of dough into balls and place on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Tips
- For chewy cookies, slightly underbake.
- For crisp cookies, bake an extra 2 minutes.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
