I started using Discord in around late 2017 after I found out about it due to the streamers I was watching on Mixer back when that streaming platform was around.

I still use Discord to this day, in some cases to engage in communities I am part of, but mostly to chat with clients I have.

Are you active on Discord? What do you use Discord for mainly?

I don’t use Discord, I signed for Discord a long time ago but never used it much. Instead of Discord I use WhatsApp for personal as well as professional communications.

Yes, I do use discord for chatting with people. The good thing about discord is the fact that it is a really huge social media network with so many people online. This makes it a really popular social media platform. You can find many people online on discord and also find several communities as well.

I have recently discovered that there is a really huge community of Doom gamers on Discord. Those communities consists of servers where Doom game enthusiasts join together and share Doom game WADs. Having said that, discord can be a great place to interact with people if you are a gamer.

I think the DOOM forums are cooler than the servers. But I prefer forums to discord myself . Anyways I am not that active on Discord. I'm only active during the Sonic Hacking Contest since I'm a judge and the community is through Discord. (Though I wish we had a forum...) I think Discord is good to chat with people but it's not good for a research community or for communities that share files. I think they do better on forums since it's much easier to find things.

That's great! Are you also a Doom fan as well? I am totally in love with Doom game. I have been playing it for a really long time. Now the Doom community has also developed different Mods as well for the game apart from developing WAD files. Seargent Mark's Doom Mods and WADs are just amazing.
