Sports Are English football players over-hyped?

There has been some speculations that the English media always over-hypes English players and makes them look better than they truly are on the pitch. They say it is the hype that makes some English players to flop.

Do you think English football players are over hyped?

Unfortunately, nowadays yes, in fact, it's been years since I've heard the name of any important English player; it's as if they've disappeared off the map.

I don't think so. English media might hype their team, but same is the case with media in other countries, they might hype their team. I quite don't follow English team but I think England has produced some great players.
