What on earth is remedial hypnosis?!

I recently did my first podcast guest interview on remedial hypnosis - what it is, how it works and what it can be used for.

What kind of exercise do you do?

No formal exercise but with 5 horses to feed and pick up their poo from a 2km track twice a day I don't feel the need to go to the gym!!

Do You Talk With Your Hands?

Yup - I think most people do. The current trend of politicians semi clenching their fists to avoid pointing their figures drives me nuts though  :classic_laugh:

    Chec-Kyng in!

I hear you. I got up at 5.45 to watch the race in Japan but went back to bed when it was red flagged. Reading the race reports later seems like it was a good call. I have a fondness for Ferrari but doubt I'll be cheering for Lewis next year...

    What Have You Achieved Today?

I've had a relatively lazy day. Did the horses and other animals early (first light so about 7.15) then farted around for the rest of the morning, convincing myself I was 'researching'! Had a siesta then I've just made a couple of Jamaica ginger cakes - one for a women's group I'm attending for...

How many siblings do you have?

One adopted brother, two years older. We've been estranged for almost 25 years. A half brother and half sister via my birth mother, 10 and eight years younger. Two half sisters and a half brother (who shares the same name as my adopted brother!) via my birth father. They are three, five and 10...

    Do you take any medications?

Thyroxine as I only have half a thyroid. The whole was supposed to be removed but during the surgery one of my vocal cords was severed so the surgeon halted the operation. The remaining half is more nodule that thyroid, poor thing.

Don't know where to post this!

@Catsmother Thankfully no. I only need to know as much as the client wants to tell me - some go into lots of detail, others prefer to give just the basic information. Their mind knows what the problems is, it's not necessary to relive things that are already familiar just for my benefit. All I...

Don't know where to post this!

Mods - please delete if not allowed. I work in the mental health area as a remedial hypnotist. I'm not touting for business by posting this but I am happy to answer any questions about what I do, how I do it and why it works (and why it doesn't in some cases). I work with issues such as...

    How's the weather?

Wet and windy in 'sunny' central Portugal. Having cleaned, dried and stored away the horse rugs for the winter they are now back on! Easter looks like it's going to be a wash out but rain never got in the way of eating chocolate eggs  :rain

    Hello, hello!

Hi @Crystal - yes and no. The horses are retired and live as close to a natural life as possible and with 3 hectares of land we don't have to walk the dogs! The chickens and goats are easy :)  So there's a lot of feeding and, ahem, waste management but they are very much worth it.
