Graphics design is an in demand skill these days. It is one skill that is needed in almost every facet of advertising and marketing, so it is advisable for those that want to make money online to learn it.
Actually I do graphic designing. I work in a marketing agency and graphic designing skills in must in my line of career. I use photoshop as well as Canva.
I feel that as long as it does the work, you are a designer. No one would be interested in knowing the tool that was used to do a design once the project comes out better.
I am not really into graphic designing. I tried to pursue graphic designing course a kong time ago. However, I quite it. This depends a lot in your level of interest. Many people work as graphic designers because they are quite passionate about it. On the other hand, others are not that much passionate about it.
Yes, there was a time that I started practising how to run design works, but it was not as easy as I envisaged then. A lot has changed since then, but if I have enough time, that is the part that I would like to look at going forward because being a good graphics designer is part of my aims in life.
Being a graphic designer is a tough and often thankless job. That has a lot to do with who you are working for, of course. You are an artist in a world driven by business. In this world, there are easy roads and there are hard roads and everything in between.
