Yes, reading improves our memory. It improves our ability to concentrate and focus for extended periods of time, which is a valuable skill in today's fast-paced world. Reading also stimulates our imagination and creativity by exposing us to new ideas and possibilities. Especially after reading a story, we can explore the climax and ending we want to, and we have to, the one that satisfies us. We can also write a short story based on our experience in reading.
 
I think it does.

Alternatively, I think writing also does the same because you're reading (brain function) and writing (motor function) and doubling your memory processes in the process.

I think writing is more powerful than reading because of that.
