A lot of people will agree with me saying that Twitter/X is the most popular social media platform after Facebook. This was why Mark Zuckerberg looked for a better competition for Twitter. He launched Threads to rival Twitter/X.
Do you see Threads becoming bigger and more used than Twitter/X?
Threads actually has failed to shake X one bit. Based on the hype, I really thought that Threads would give X a run for their money. Two years after if I am not a mistaken, X is still the most used microblogging platform.
I only have a Twitter account myself never bothered with Threads. Honestly I don't think Threads will overtake Twitter/X. because Twitter has too much history, established user base and cultural presence. Threads had initial hype but seems to have cooled off.
I signed up with Threads because I am active on Instagram. However, I don’t use it much. It takes time to build followers so I stick to the ones where I already have built followers. I use X more.
Based on the stats, Twitter isn't the most popular social site after Facebook, there are other social sites more popular than X. However, I do agree that X is one of the top ten social sites. I have been using X for a long time and started using Threads recently
Threads yes, Twitter almost never. There are too many toxic people there; it seems like toxicity and bullying are rewarded over good behavior or good responses. It's a shame, because if it weren't for that, the social network wouldn't be bad, especially since it has almost no censorship.
I only make use of my Twitter account when i want to find out latest gist and updates, but i don't post there. Threads on the other hand? I have an account there but don't use it.
