The much touted move has not really given the expected sparks. We thought Mbappe would light up LA Liga already. Seems our expectations were just too high.
He has been scoring goals for fun for the club. He is happy and has shown how good he can be for that team. I like that kind of zeal and the ability that he's shown towards achieving much for the club.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he would win the champions league title that has been missing from his professional profile as a top class footballer. This current Madrid Team doesn't have the character of players that can go all the way in the champions league.
What I know is that we can never rule a team out àt this time till we are sure that they won't be able to make it. The team that he plays for is still in the competition and for that reason, I believe that there are still chances that he gets to win at the end of the day.
Let's face the truth. This set of Real Madrid players don't quite dominate games like the Kroos and Modric era. And in the left, you had a marauding Marcelo and Ramos that was a steel in the back. Madrid are not favorites to win the champions league as they used to be years back.
Mbappe is going to break a lot of record playing for Real Madrid. It was a very big shame he couldn't play in last night UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City which saw them lose 1-2 to the Citizens.
