Hot Topics/DebatesThe only thing I am lacking is an emotional support
Pretty well I guess. I am doing what I like, living on my own, have some money to take care of myself. The only thing I am lacking is an emotional support. We might think that we can live alone. We don’t need anyone in our life. Living alone is happier and so on. But, having a person to whom you can share all your feelings and on whom you can shower all your frustrations is a blessing. If we have such a person in our life, we are having the biggest strength. This person need not be your spouse alone. The support can come from any person who loves you unconditionally.
Having someone who supports you emotionally from the bottom of their heart is an achievement on it's own, and so many people tend to look down or underrate this.
Don't worry, we all need emotional support and unfortunately not everyone receives it, but cheer up, I'm sure I'm not the only one here sending you online support. It's not the same, but it's something.
There is no such thing as I am a person of myself. It doesn't exist. Humans were created to be social animals and no matter the walls you build around yourself, you would eventually get depressed because the core of human living is in relationships. Everyone needs a family, friend, colleague, neighbour to relate with at different levels.
A lot of people think life is just money and hustling, but having someone that hears you genuinely? That one is stronger than the money you have sometimes. Everyone needs at least one person that can say “how are you?”
Well, if you are missing emotional support, life can weigh on you heavily more than you actually realize. It’s natural to want someone who listens, understands, and shows up when you need it. Reaching out, even in small ways, can help you find the connection you are looking for.
That's so true. you can have everything figured out materially but still feel empty without emotional connection. Having someone who genuinely listens and accepts you unconditionally is invaluable. We're not meant to carry everything alone no matter how independent we are.
